DANS LE BRUIT DU MONDE | Concert for schools
Contemporary dance, hip hop, rap, singing, and beatmaking drive the energy of this frantic search for meaning.
Mom, look, I am the star that will shine
Mom, look, I am the star shooting past here
A young person tests his dreams against reality in a world where ambition alone is not enough and where “ everyone inflexibly does their own thing .” But there are many obstacles: “ even the beauty of heaven seems sad ,” because “ to be respected, I must seem rich .”
In five steps ( The Call – The Disillusionment – The Fall – The Silence – The Awakening ), young Carolo rapper Luca Latte outlines how a young person must find his place without sliding into anger or cynicism.
Contemporary dance, hip-hop, rap, singing, and beatmaking drive the energy of this frantic search for meaning. The creation came about in collaboration with Jeunesses Musicales of Brussels during St u dio PBA in Charleroi. Faced with the illusions and social anger of a young person who “ understands our shortcomings better thanks to Bourdieu ,” questions arise such as: what is “success” actually? Where does “happiness” begin, and whose is it?
