Tragedy of a glance
Les Brigittines - Chapel , BruxellesMarianne Pousseur and Enrico Bagnoli draw inspiration from the myth of Orpheus & Eurydice in a show combining dance and music.
With Tragedy of a Gaze , the Khroma company continues its exploration of the relationships between light, music, and space, which it began in 2022 with Madrigali. A theatrical, musical, visual, and choreographic performance inspired by the moment Orpheus turned to look at Eurydice, this new work questions the connections between the arts, their language, and their emotional transmission. For example: "What would it mean to whisper in terms of light, musical composition, and movement? How can we translate the notion of echo or reflection? Of silence or repetition?" The Khroma company answers these questions through the encounter of light, the world of sound, and bodies, as well as through the opening up of sensory perceptions: their freedom.
