RÊVER LE NORD

Composer Alice Hebborn creates enchanting soundscapes in which electronics merge with acoustic instruments. Cindy Castillo joins her for this concert on the organ of the St Augustine's Church and on the organetto, a miniature organ (hardly larger than a pan flute) that was built especially for her. She plays it through subtle and simple movements of the palm above the small pipes.

The Brussels Chamber Choir, the internationally renowned choir from Brussels co-founded by musical director Helen Cassano, will also perform. The High North is extensively explored in their program: Sweden (Jan Sandström), Norway (Trond Kverno), Finland (Einojuhani Rautavaara), Estonia (Arvo Pärt, Urmas Sisask), Iceland (Bára Grímsdóttir), and Latvia (Ēriks Ešenvalds). Expect a floating and contemplative Belgian-Nordic evening!
