Illustrated Concert
Centre culturel d'Uccle , UccleTales inspired by West African traditions, combined with original music and accompanied by live projected drawings.
The Illustrated Concert invites you to an extraordinary experience, a fusion of art, music, and storytelling, of performance and drawing, of Europe and Africa… Its premise? Two composers, Sarah Triquet and Thomas Foguenne, have written an original work for the Tales of Teranga, stories by Souleymane Mbodj. With Teranga, a Wolof concept from Senegal encompassing the values of hospitality, sharing, and solidarity, Souleymane Mbodj, author and musician, recounts stories passed down from generation to generation, like a gift, a shared experience. This magic of music, performed by Ensemble 21, and stories narrated by Souleymane Mbodj, is extended through drawings created in real time by Vincent Fortemps and projected onto a screen. A rare, multimedia, extra-geographic, and extra-temporal experience.
