ECHO'S D'ESSENCES (OLFACTORY CONCERT) | Meeting with IRSA - Royal Institute for the Deaf and Blind

“Once upon a time… or rather: one day, in an unspecified future, there will be a human being who has lost all five senses over the course of evolution. This concert tells their story: five scenes retrace their quest and their attempts to regain their senses. For each of these lost senses is also… ‘a sense’: a meaning, a way of accessing the world, a different way of understanding it.”

To immerse themselves in this sensory universe before the performance, a special workshop will be organised at the IRSA Institute.

The workshop will be led by the full artistic team: composer Apolline Jesupret, perfumer Romain Pantoustier and musician Renata Kambarova.

Together, they will take the IRSA participants behind the scenes of the creative process, exploring the connections between music, smell and storytelling. This educational approach aims to sharpen the participants’ perception ahead of the performance.

Following this preparation, the IRSA participants will attend the concert equipped with new insights that will allow them to fully experience this quest for meaning and sensation.
